Lincolnton-Lincoln County, Georgia surrounded by Clarks Hill Lake - Lake Thurmond,

has earned the name "Georgia's Freshwater Coast".

Rural Lincolnton-Lincoln County, Georgia has both room to explore and room to grow with 164,500 acres bordered by more than 400 miles of shoreline on the beautiful Savannah River and sprawling Clarks Hill Lake - Lake Thurmond. Lincoln County, Georgia is truly a sportsman's paradise.


Clarks Hill Lake - Lake Thurmond offers endless opportunities for fun, including relaxation on its shores, swimming, boating, skiing, sunbathing, fishing or hiking. For the hunting enthusiast, Lincoln County has some of the finest hunting anywhere in the South. Each year trophy size deer, quail, turkey, squirrel, duck and geese are taken in abundance from thousands of woodland acres. 


Lincoln County is also the site of the 447-acre Elijah Clark State Park which is located on the western shore of Clarks Hill Lake - Lake Thurmond. In addition to boating and fishing activities, a museum in the park offers colonial life demonstrations. Memorials of Revolutionary War hero Elijah Clarke and his wife are located in Elijah Clark State Park.

Lincolnton - Lincoln County, Georgia  hosts numerous events and festivals during the year including a family-friendly Mardi Gras Street Festival end of March; two three-day Lewis Family Bluegrass Festivals in late April and early May (featuring nationally known musicians); the Road Chevy Legends Bike, Car & Truck Show mid May; the Red, White & Blue: 4th of July Celebration Beach Festival & Fireworks; a Rocky Branch Golf Course Golfing Event mid September; Lincoln County Historical Society's Pioneer Day Country Crafts Festival mid November; and the Downtown Lincolnton Christmas Parade with Holidays in Olde Lincoln Towne Festival in early December.
