Boating
Bring your own boat or come out and hire a pontoon to enjoy our wonderful and pristine lake. If you are looking for a place to rent a boat from, check out Soap Creek Marina
Kayaking
Bring your own kayaks and explore our coastline, watch the sunrise, or sunset from the water, take in the abundant bird-life at the water's edge or launch from any of our campgrounds or boat ramps located all around the county.
Golfing
Play an amazing 18 hole round of golf at the Rocky Branch Golf Club.
Horseback riding
Bring your own horse and camp out at Bussey Point Recreational Area. The Bussey Point horse trail is a 12.5miles long trail that circles the peninsula. Plenty of bird and wildlife to view as well
Visit the Lincoln County Historical Society
Pack a picnic and enjoy the tranquil setting of the Lincoln County Historical Park, with its many old buildings that have been preserved at the park. Seasonal Events at the park include:
Mothers Day Tea, the Saturday before Mothers day
Pioneer Day, the Saturday before Thanks Giving
Veterans Day
History in the park at 7 pm - 1st Thursday of each month (April - November)
Hunting
There are many land lots available for hunting in Lincoln County GA, contact the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to purchase a hunting license online.
Fishing
Come and enjoy great fishing on our lake filled with abundant fish, either from your own boat, piers at campgrounds, or various places around the lake. You will need a fishing permit that you can obtain online from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Rock, swap, and Dig
Come and experience a rock swap and dig at Graves Mountain, this site is open seasonally.
Archery, Miniature Golf (Putt-Putt)
Try out your archery skills, or play a round of Putt-Putt at Elijah Clarke State Park
Organized Camps, day or overnight
If you are looking for a fun outdoor group activity, try out Family YMCA, Camp Lakeside, a great place for a family reunion, church retreat, family vacation, wedding, or corporate team building. The facility offers the following activities, swimming, hiking, kayaking, disc golf, canoeing, fishing, archery to name a few
Recreational Park
Take the kids to the Curry Colvin Recreational Complex and let them cool off in the new splash pad or take a walk around the all-purpose track and get in some walking laps. Attend a Zumba class, should resume in January 2021. Other seasonal activities include baseball, cheerleading, football, soccer, and basketball.
Berry picking and Hayrides
Come out in the spring and pick strawberries, blackberries and blueberries or pumpkins in the Fall, at the Double Branches Farm and book a hayride for family and friends
Hiking
Try out the trails at these places:
Elijah Clarke State Park has two trails a 0.8mile Hannah Clark Nature Trail and a 3.75 miles Hiking Trail.
Picnicking
Pack that basket of goodies and enjoy a picnic, lakeside.
